Method of Instruction

 

The method books that are used for the beginner student age 5 and older is Piano Pronto. Jennifer Eklund of Piano Pronto has a way of composing that effectively reaches today's students. Jennifer's supplemental music is used as well as other composers as the student develops. Here is a link to her website, you can listen to every song that she has available. Students are encouraged to find songs to learn that they like the sound of.

 

The 3-5 year old students will begin in KiddyKeys curriculum. An entire web page has been devoted to that program. See it here.

 

Each student will also be working on level appropriate theory. 

 

Two recitals will be given each year. One in December and one in May. These are voluntary but strongly encouraged.
